Emergency Financial Aid There is naw a process in place that was developed by the Trustees in conjunction with the Treasurer to help our members who find themselves in a critical need for financial assistance.. Each request will be considered on it's own merit on a case by case basis. The process: The requestor expresses a need to someone in the church. They are directed to address that need with one of the trustees, who is now the “point of contact”. The trustee e-mails/faxes/ or otherwise provides the requestor with a benevolence request form. and follows up if necessary with the requestor to check its status. The requestor fills it out and then sends it back to the trustee. The trustee forwards the request to the rest of the trustees and the treasurer. The trustees and the treasurer either meet in person, or via e-mail to evaluate the application. This should happen within 48 hours of step 5. If approved, the POC obtains a list of creditors account numbers and addresses from the requestor to give to the treasurer for use in preparing the remittance.
